 WINNERS OF NEW PRODUCT ACHIEVEMENT AWARD ANNOUNCED AT COMNET '92
 WASHINGTON, Jan. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- World Expo Corporation today announced the five winners of the New Product Achievement Award Competition at a 2 p.m. press conference at ComNet '92 (Communications Networks) Exposition and Conference.
 Awards were presented to companies whose new product, product enhancement, or product upgrade will make the greatest contribution to the communications industry for the coming year.
 The winners are: Compression Labs, Inc. for its Rembrandt II/VP; Cylink for its FTI Access Radio; MCI for its MCI Perspective; Newbridge Networks for its TAP System; and Tellabs for its HDSL Transmission System.
 During the show, attendees voted for the five finalists by visting the New Product Achievement Award booth, located in the main lobby of the Washington Convention Center to view the 10 semi-finalists' products. The new products were displayed in a special showcase along with booth numbers where more information about the products was available.
 The winners will be honored at an exhibitor reception this evening (Jan. 29) at 5:30 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Ramada Renaissance Techworld Hotel, Washington, D.C.
 "ComNet has always been the forum for new product launches. We are excited to introduce the New Product Achievement Award Competition at ComNet '92, as it recognizes the "hot" new products for the coming year as voted by leading media representatives and ComNet '92 attendees," said Robin Andreola, show manager.
 The panel of 10 judges who selected the 10 semi-finalists include: David Buerger, Communications Week; Bill Laberis, Computerworld; Lee Keough, Data Communications; Patricia Schnaidt, LAN Magazine; Mary Petrosky, LAN Technology; Susan Rastellini, Networking Management; John Dix, Network World; Paula Musich, PC Week, Tom Valovic, Telecommunications; and Andy Jenks, Washington Technology.
 ComNet '92, now in its 14th year, is the industry's largest communications conference and exposition. The show, featuring over 450 exhibitors, will close on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 4 p.m.
