 WINN-DIXIE TO DISTRIBUTE BOTTLED WATER AND ICE IN
 HOMESTEAD AND KEY BISCAYNE THIS AFTERNOON
 POMPANO BEACH, Fla., Aug. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning this afternoon, Winn-Dixie (NYSE: WIN) will be donating more fresh bottled water and ice to families in the Miami community, in a continued effort to assist in the Hurricane Andrew recovery, announced R.J. Ehster, vice president and division manager of Winn-Dixie Miami. Winn-Dixie will also be delivering a truckload of fruit juices to the South Florida Fair Grounds later this afternoon.
 -- 20,000 pounds of ice will be distributed at 602 Crandon Blvd.,
 in Key Biscayne this afternoon.
 -- A second truck, containing ice and bottled water, is scheduled
 to arrive at the Winn-Dixie at 240 N E 8th Street in Homestead
 by mid-afternoon.
 -- Winn-Dixie will also be donating a truckload of Tropical Coolers
 fruit juices to the Dade County Emergency Service. These are
 scheduled to be delivered to the South Florida Fair Grounds in
 Palm Beach by mid-afternoon and distributed by the Dade County
 Emergency Service.
 "There is still a very serious need for fresh water and ice," said Ehster. "We are continuing to try and help the community in its effort to recover during these very trying times."
 Winn-Dixie is one of the nation's largest supermarket retailers, with 1,185 stores located in the southeastern and southwestern United States. The company operates 138 stores in its Miami division.
