WIN a shop with the Telegraph.

AN incredible Coventry Telegraph-backed competition worth pounds 120,000 will give a would-be entrepreneur the chance of a lifetime.

The winner of a unique contest will get free use of a city centre shop for a year - and the chance to kickstart their business dream in spite of the recession.

The business and publicity package is a joint initiative between Coventry City Council, city centre management group CV One, the Coventry Telegraph and Mercia.

'The Business' is looking for entrepreneurs who have the talent, creativity, enthusiasm and drive to build their own business and be their own boss.

Unit 14 in the City Arcade is up for grabs, rent-free for one year and we are looking for a new business which will complement and add vibrancy to this retail area. It is not a shortterm project - the aim is to introduce a viable long-term business which will grow with the city.

YOU are just three steps away from winning this life-changing opportunity STEP ONE: Complete and submit the business plan at www.

coventrytelegraph.net/thebusiness STEP TWO: All business plans will be considered by a panel of business experts including Coventry City Council's commercial property management team. The panel will judge entries on a strict criteria, including creativity, viability, and longevity and five shortlisted entries will meet with officers from the council for an individual assessment and detailed discussion about their business idea.

STEP THREE: Those brave enough will then pitch their ideas to "The Bosses", a panel of entrepreneurs and business people who will be looking for a commercially viable and transparent business model.

Our "Bosses" panel will select three worthy business winners who will learn whether their idea is the one chosen at a live ceremony outside the premises and one lucky winner will walk away with the keys to the shop.
