WILSON SLAMS SPOT-KICK REF ADCOCK.

BOLTON 1 Beckford 44 BARNSLEY 0 at The Reebok Stadium BARNSLEY manager Danny Wilson believed his players were "let down" by referee James Adcock after defeat at Bolton saw them routed to the bottom of the Championship table.

Jermaine Beckford (right) put Wanderers in the lead before Chris O'Grady missed a late penalty to save a point for the Tykes.

Wilson was angry with the referee and, despite the loss, was delighted with his side's performance and believed that they should have won the game.

"How do I feel? I feel let down," said Wilson, whose side are now five points adrift of safety.

"I feel let down by some of the decisions that were made against us today and I feel delighted in the performance because the lads did ever so well.

"I think that we deserved something out of the game and I don't just think the one point."

"We had a stonewall penalty that wasn't given."

Bolton manager Dougie Freedman praised the referee's performance but was unhappy that his players could not finish the game off before they conceded the penalty.

Fre "Wd Freedman said: "Was I disappointed in conceding the penalty? I was very disappointed with it. I was disappointed in w di giving away a penalty and they will be more disappointed with missing it but I was more concerned that we didn't finish it off."
