WILSHIRE ANNOUNCES ADDITION TO RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

 CARLSBAD, Calif., Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilshire Medical Products, a subsidiary of Wilshire Technologies has announced the addition of Dr. Ching-Wang Eric Luo, Ph.D., as vice president of research and development responsible for transdermal applications of OTC and prescription drugs.
 Dr. Luo has an extensive background in transdermal drug delivery systems as well as polymer research for biomedical applications. He has previously been associated with CIBA-GIEGY Corp. and Schering-Plough Research, two of the top pharmaceutical companies in the United States, where he has worked in the field of transdermal and iontophoretic drug delivery systems and characterization of polymeric components.
 Luo earned two masters degrees in chemical engineering from National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan and the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. He received his doctorate in materials science and engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville. Luo has authored and/or co-authored 12 publications including:
 -- "Iontophoretic Drug Delivery: In Vitro Transport of Ions Across Skin";
 -- "Upper and Lower Limits of Human Skin Electrical Resistance in Iontophoresis"; and
 -- "Skin Electrical Response During Iontophoresis."
 Wilshire Technologies develops, manufactures and markets disposable products for medical and clean room use. It has focused on proprietary products that incorporate its engineered materials, acquired polyurethane and other technologies and its expertise in materials fabrication.
