WILLIAMS CONTROLS RECORDS HIGHEST MONTHLY SALES PORTLAND, Ore., Feb. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Williams Controls Inc.
("Williams") (NASDAQ: WMCO) announced that its unaudited January 1992 sales were over $1.7 million, the highest sales level for a single month in the company's history. In comparison, sales for the month of January 1991 were $1.5 million.
Joseph W. Hovorka, president, stated that the sale of the company's excess undeveloped land was completed on Jan. 29, 1992. The proceeds of approximately $1 million will be used to retire the bridge loan of $450,000 with the remaining funds available for working capital. Thomas W. Itin, chairman, announced the election of Dale Nelson, C.P.A., as controller, assistant treasurer and chief financial officer of Williams, at the regular board meeting held last month. Williams Controls manufactures a wide range of pneumatic and hydraulic controls for the truck, bus, mining, construction and refuse collection markets.
