WILLIAM M. WILSON TO RETIRE FROM SENIOR POSITIONS AT ALEXANDER & ALEXANDER

 NEW YORK, Nov. 20 ~PRNewswire~ -- Alexander & Alexander Services Inc. (NYSE: AAL) (A&A) today announced that William M. Wilson will retire on Dec. 28, 1992, from his positions as deputy chairman and executive vice president. His decision comes after more than 31 years of service and upon fulfillment of his employment agreement.
 Mr. Wilson currently has executive management responsibility for A&A's global wholesale and reinsurance broking operations as well as the company's human resource management consulting group.
 These operations, in addition to A&A's global retail insurance broking operation and risk management services, will report to Deputy Chairman and Executive Vice President Michael K. White upon Mr. Wilson's retirement.
 The former president and chief executive officer of Toronto-based Reed Stenhouse Companies Ltd., Mr. Wilson joined A&A when the two companies merged operations in 1985. He has been a director of the company since the merger.
 T.H. Irvin, A&A's chairman and chief executive officer, noted, "Bill has made a very significant contribution to Alexander & Alexander. As the former CEO of Reed Stenhouse Companies, Ltd., he was instrumental in bringing about the merger that enabled A&A to become a truly global operation."
 Mr. Irvin added, "I will miss his good counsel and our close working relationship on day-to-day operational matters."
 Mr. Wilson will continue to be available to A&A on a consulting basis as he expands his other business interests.
