WILLIAM J. FISHER NAMED PRESIDENT AND COO OF ROPAK LABORATORIES
 IRVINE, Calif., Nov. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Ropak Laboratories (NASDAQ: RPKL) announced today the election of William J. Fisher as president and chief operating officer.
 Since 1982, Fisher has been president of William Fisher Corp., specializing in management of high-growth companies, start-ups and turnarounds, as well as management and operations reviews, corporate planning and executive counseling. During these years, Fisher was engaged to serve as president of a number of companies including Birtcher Medical Systems (NASDAQ: BIRT), Shiff Medical Imaging and American Diagnostics Corp. In each case, his accomplishments included dramatically increasing cash flow and implementing innovative marketing strategies.
 Prior to 1982, Fisher managed consulting practices for the national accounting firms of Arthur Young & Company and Kenneth Leventhal & Company.
 Dr. Christopher P. Kelly, who moves to chairman and remains chief executive officer, stated that "Mr. Fisher brings an enormous amount of talent and experience to Ropak Laboratories, adding to existing management and making it possible for the company to expand its role as the worldwide leader in safety testing methods."
