WILLIAM H. BREWSTER APPOINTED PRESIDENT AND CEO OF CPC-REXCEL, INC.
 ST. LOUIS, Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CPC-Rexcel, Inc. (NASDAQ: CPST) announced today the appointment of William H. Brewster as president and chief executive officer, effective immediately. Brewster has also been appointed to CPC-Rexcel's board of directors. Mitchell P. Rales will continue to serve as chairman.
 "Bill Brewster is a welcome and significant addition to CPC-Rexcel. His experience and relationship with the major national and multi- national food packaging companies is extensive. He also been pro- actively involved in the initiation of Partnership and other value managed relationships with key customers such as Kraft General Foods, H.J. Heinz, and Stouffer Foods," said Rales.
 Brewster, 46 years old, was vice president of sales and marketing - the Flexible Packaging Group at American National Can Co. He was directly involved in helping this group increase sales at a compound annual rate of over 11 percent per year from 1986 through 1991.
 "I am excited about CPC-Rexcel's recent strategic thrust and am particularly impressed with the long-term commitment to world-class manufacturing and quality excellence," said Brewster. "I hope to add strategic planning with a market-driven emphasis and to take advantage of a multitude of opportunities to expand CPC-Rexcel's position with many of its existing customers as well as other food packaging companies," he added.
 CPC-Rexcel, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets plastic containers for cultured dairy, yogurt and other food products.
