 WILLIAM BISHOP ELECTED PRESIDENT OF CHRYSLER CAPITAL CORPORATION
 STAMFORD, Conn., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- William S. Bishop has been elected president of Chrysler Capital Corporation. Bishop succeeds John M. Bowes who left the company to pursue other opportunities.
 In his new position, Bishop reports to John P. Tierney, chairman of Chrysler Financial Corporation.
 Bishop was formerly executive vice president and chief operating officer of Chrysler Capital.
 He joined Chrysler Capital in October 1987 as senior vice president and group executive of Leasing and Investment Services. In May 1989, he was named executive vice president and sector executive of Project and Lease Financing, and in November 1990, he became executive vice president and group executive of Merchant Banking Services. He was named executive vice president and chief operating officer in February 1992.
 Before joining Chrysler Capital, Bishop was vice president - syndication manager for Wells Fargo Leasing Corporation in San Francisco.
 Bishop was born May 25, 1947, in Los Angeles.
 He earned a B.A. degree in 1969 from UCLA and an M.B.A. from the University of Southern California in 1972.
 Chrysler Capital, a subsidiary of Chrysler Financial, is headquartered in Stamford. It services a diversified portfolio of commercial loans, leases and other investments throughout the U.S.
