WILL HE HIT TOPSP TOR WILL HE BE HUMBLED? Erratic Rory 10-3 to miss cut in Texas.

THE city of Humble, Texas, stages this week's US Tour event, the Houston Open, and Rory McIlroy will be praying the grand old game of golf does not humble him any further in the build-up to the Masters.

McIlroy is using the Houston gathering, which starts tomorrow afternoon, as his final tune-up for the first Major of the season, and the Northern Irishman desperately needs a positive outing to kickstart what has been a dismal 2013 campaign.

Tiger Woods took over at the top of the world rankings on Monday, but McIlroy can reclaim that status with victory in Humble, which is a general 10-1 chance. Rory is only 100-30 with Coral to miss the cut, though, which would provide a savage blow to morale 13 days before the Masters.
