WILCOX ADVERTISING FILES LAW SUIT AGAINST B & B CASH GROCERY STORES
TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Wilcox Advertising, Inc. filed a law suit today against B & B Cash Grocery Stores, Inc. (doing business as U-Save Supermarkets) for wrongfully terminating the advertising agreement with Wilcox Advertising, Inc. also failure to pay for approved commercials produced under the agreement and failure to pay for commercials that aired on Tampa Bay and Fort Myers networks. The agency was told by U-Save the reason for termination was due to the fact that a black man took part in the commercial. A local black celebrity introduces a new jingle in the U-Save commercial that aired on seven major networks in early January. The 23-week planned campaign was canceled nine days after it began.
