WICAT NOMINATES FOUR ORGANIZATIONS FOR THE 1992 LIFT
 (LABOR INVESTING FOR TOMORROW) AWARDS
OREM, Utah, June 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Wicat Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: WCAT) announced today that they are nominating four organizations for the 1992 LIFT Awards. This award is given by the U.S. Department of Labor to recognize significant contributions to the building of a world-class U.S. workforce in two categories: partnerships that prepare youth for the workplace and organizations that contribute to improving and effectively using worker skills.
As part of a reception on June 30, at the National Demonstration Laboratory (NDL) in Washington (celebrating Wicat's first installation of their five new adult computer courses) the Toledo (Ohio) Private Industry Council (PIC) will be nominated in the youth category. In the adult category, Milliken Textiles (Spartanburg, S.C.), General Foods (Dover, Del.) and the Brenlin Group (Akron, Ohio) will be nominated. All four are being nominated for their significant efforts to improve both the workforce and workplace quality.
The Department of Labor will conduct an initial review of the nominations. Recommendations will be reviewed by the Secretary of Labor. The Secretary will then make the final selection of the awardees and the final number of awards will depend upon the number and quality of nominations. The winners will be announced later this year.
