WHEELING-PITTSBURGH STEEL CORP. ANNOUNCES PRICE CHANGES

 WHEELING, W.Va., Sept. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. (NYSE: WHX) announced today that it is increasing the base prices and selected extras on tin mill products effective with shipments commencing at 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 3, 1993.
 Base prices for tinplate, tin free steel, tin coated sheet and black plate will be increased by 5 percent. In addition, Wheeling-Pittsburgh will raise the basis weight (gauge) and width extras on all of its tin mill products by 5 percent.
