 ELECTS TWO NEW MEMBERS; DECLARES QUARTERLY DIVIDEND
 OAK BROOK, Ill., Aug. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Wheelabrator Technologies Inc. (NYSE: WTI) today announced that it has expanded its board by electing two new directors.
 Manuel Sanchez, a founder and partner of Sanchez & Daniels, a Chicago law firm, was elected as a new member of the Wheelabrator Board to a term expiring in 1994. Sanchez is a member of the boards of the Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania Law School and the Mexican- American Defense Education Fund. He also was a founding member of both the Mexican-American Lawyers Association and the Latin American Bar Association.
 William M. Daley, president and chief operating officer of Amalgamated Bank of Chicago, was also elected as a new member of the Wheelabrator Board. His term expires in 1995. He serves on the boards of directors for the Oak Brook Bank, Special Children's Charities, the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and America's Leaders Fund. He also serves as an advisory board member of the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management-Northwestern University, Banking Research Center; Mercy Hospital and Medical Center, Chicago; the Federal National Mortgage Association (FannieMae); and The Catholic Charities of Chicago.
 The company also announced today the declaration of a cash dividend of $.02 per share payable Oct. 1, to stockholders of record on Sept. 16. It is the company's third consecutive quarterly cash dividend to be paid to its stockholders.
