WHAT WILL THEY THINK OF NEXT? CRAYONS THAT GLOW IN THE DARK

NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Traditional crayons may be left in the dark when kids head back to school next year if a New York/New Jersey crayon manufacturer has its way. When exposed to light for 15 seconds or more, Rose Art's new Glow-in-the-Dark Crayons, launched today at the School and Home Office Products Association Show (SHOPA) in New Orleans, glow in the dark and produce drawings that actually glow the dark.
"We're always looking for ways to make creating more fun for kids," says Rose Art President and CEO Lawrence Rosen. "Kids are fascinated by things that glow in the dark so the development of creative products like crayons and paints that glow in the dark was a natural."
In addition to its innovative Glow Crayons, Rose Art will introduce many other new items at SHOPA, running Dec. 8th through 11th in New Orleans, among them: Glow-in-the-Dark Fun Kit (complete with Glow Crayons, Paints, and Chalk); Glow Poster Paints; Glow Chalk; Glitter Poster Paints; Bucket Fulla' Jumbo Sidewalk Chalk; Glitter Magic Glue Kit; Sidewalk Chalk Stencil Kit; 45 Washable Markers in a Bucket and Zippy Designer Color Brush.
The second largest crayon manufacturer in America and one of the fastest growing toy and stationery companies in the country, Rose Art will launch more than 100 new items in total at SHOPA in December and at the 1994 American International Toy Fair in February.
