Try something different |and give riding a go at Cardiff Riding School this summer. The school is running "Introduction to Riding" classes from Tuesday, July 28, to Friday, July 31, noon-1pm. The classes are open to all ages from six years. The school has horses of all sizes, all of which are kind and patient. For details call 029 2038 3908.
Archaeology Cymru on |Wednesday, July 29, at 2pm at Sully Church. Karl-James Langford will be in costume, with a further wacky take on the geological past of the coastline. Also, a look at fossilised horsetail ferns, a 200 million-year-old teleosaur footprint and of course those dinosaur prints. Come prepared with good footwear, drinks and PS5 for the Barry Museum fund. A Community Cafe in |Riverside has reopened under new management with a voluntary group running it.
The cafe is open every Tuesday and Thursday, noon to 2pm at Wyndham Street Hall.
The food is freshly prepared on the premises by volunteers, some of whom have hotel, pub and hostel catering experience. The project is sponsored by the South Riverside Community Development Centre and the Riverside ward councillors.
