| "The Welsh Arsenal", an |illustrated talk by Mike Clubb, is taking place on Tuesday, January 20, at Canolfan Beulah Centre, Rhiwbina, Cardiff. Admission PS2 to include refreshments. Arrive at 7.15pm for a 7.30pm start.

On Wednesday, January 21, |Cardiff and District Rhondda Society will hold its first monthly meeting for 2015.

Anyone who has a connection with the Rhondda valleys is welcome to come along to Ararat Church, Whitchurch Common, Cardiff, at 10.30am. It is a friendly group with a varied programme planned for 2015. There are interesting guest speakers, meals out, day trips and other events.

The January meeting will feature the AGM followed by refreshments and a chat about forthcoming events. The group is currently looking at the great Ancient seven wonders: the Pyramids, Hanging Gardens of Babylon, The Colossus of Rhodes, Temple of Artemis, Statue of Zeus, Mausoleum of Halicarnassus and Pharos of Alexandria.
