WHAT'S IN THE GALLERY?

CARDIFF Dynamic Structures: Painted Vessels by Elizabeth Fritsch, celebrating the ceramist's 70th birthday at National Museum Cardiff from tomorrow until January 2. Talking Pictures is a major exhibition by Llanidloes-born celebrity photographer Cambridge Jones at Wales Millennium Centre until October 25.

To the Buddha - Veils and Voids is an exhibition by Peter Finnemore and Jonathan Anderson who share a common attitude towards intrinsic Buddhist values within visual art practice at St David's Hall until tomorrow. SMark Gubb's exhibition is an exploration on the nature of our very existence at Chapter arts Centre until November 7. New paintings by Darren Hughes at Martin Tinney Gallery, St Andrew's Crescent until tomorrow.

An exhibition of paintings by Mike Jones and ceramics byWalter Keeler at Albany Gallery, Roath until October 9. Strangelands is a collaborative show by the international team of photographers Strange.rs at Third Floor Gallery, Cardiff Bay until Sunday.

An exhibition of paintings by David Haswell at Victoria Fearn Gallery, Rhiwbina until October 23.

Welsh artists Martyn Jones and Elizabeth Picton are displaying their work in a joint exhibition. Jones is a contemporary painter who recently staged his second solo-show at the Robert Steele Gallery in New York. Picton is a recent fine art graduate of Cardiff School of Art and Design at The Dairy, Pontcanna until October 7. An exhibition by formerWelsh Artist of the Year Corrie Chiswell, the catalyst for which was Corrie's grandmother's death last year. The paintings are a celebration of the person she was, and those memories carried from childhood that she helped to shape at Off the Wall, Cardiff Road, Llandaff until October 12. Show Tales is an exhibition which recounts people's stories about their shoes at Milkwood Gallery, Lochaber Street, Roath until October 18. Also Shaun Featherstone's Stuck, an experimental participative installation engaging with the local community and inviting visitors to contribute fundamentally to its status as an artwork (from tomorrow until October 31). Over 20 is a collection of contemporary art quilts by internationally acclaimed textile artist Bethan Ash. Many of the wall hangings reflect her moves around Cardiff at Oriel Makers, Penylan Rd, Roath until tomorrow. New and recent work by gallery collective, project/ten at unit 22-24, Morgan Arcade until October 16.

A colourful exhibition of unique designer teapots by 10 potters at Craft in the Bay until November 7.

NEWPORT Ghosts in Armour is a multi disciplinary creative response by a collective of more than 35 international artists. It explores the traces and connections between the industrial past of South Wales, the Basque Country of northern Spain and the Ruhr region of Germany at The Riverfront until October 23. Here & Now is an exhibition which aims to open up new opportunities for Newport artists. It includes work by Kieran Lyons, Katherine Sullivan, Janire Najera and Celia Jackson among others at Newport Museum & Art Gallery until November 6.

PENARTH Love Me is a new exhibition by award-winning photographer and filmmaker Zed Nelson which reflects on the cultural and commercial forces that drive a global obsession with youth and beauty at Ffotogallery, Turner House until October 9. Making A Difference is an exhibition of portraits of famous faces by Carolyn Merrifield at Washington Gallery until October 20.

PONTYPRIDD An exhibition of work by the 10 shortlisted artists eligible for the University of Glamorgan pounds 3,000 Purchase Prize at Oriel y Bont, Ty Crawshay, University of Glamorgan, Pontypridd until October 18.

PORTHCAWL An exhibition of work by John Mason at Silures Art Gallery, South Road from tomorrow until October 31.

TREHAFOD Printers Stint is an exhibition of prints featuring the work of 11 artists at Rhondda Heritage Centre until November 7.
