 WETTERAU CALLS FOR REDEMPTION ITS 7-3/4 PERCENT SENIOR NOTES
 TO BE REDEEMED ON FEB. 28, 1992
 ST. LOUIS, Jan. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Wetterau Incorporated (NASDAQ: WETT) today announced that it is calling for redemption all of its outstanding 7-3/4 percent senior notes due Jan. 15, 1994. The total original principal amount of the notes was $125.0 million.
 The notes will be redeemed on Feb. 28, 1992, at a price of $1,000 principal amount, plus accrued interest to the redemption date of $9.26, for a total of $1,009.26.
 The company indicated that calling the notes was an interest expense reduction measure, taking advantage of the current decline in interest rates and the availability of attractive refinancing alternatives.
