WESTON WINS CONTRACT FOR ANALYTICAL SERVICES, A POTENTIAL $6.4 MILLION

WORTH; WESTON ANALYTICS' FIFTH MAJOR RECENT AWARD IN SUPPORT OF DOE
 WEST CHESTER, Pa., May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Roy F. Weston, Inc. (NASDAQ: WSTNA) (Weston)(R) today announced that its Analytics Division was recently awarded a subcontract with EG&G Idaho, Inc. to provide organic and inorganic sample analyses, mixed waste sample analyses and special analytical services to support the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) Environmental Restoration Program (ERP) activities at the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory (INEL).
 The contract term runs through Dec. 31, 1994, and has a potential value of $6.4 million. Work assignments will be issued on a task order basis. Weston has begun work on the first task order, valued at approximately $75,000.
 EG&G Idaho, Inc. is the management and operations contractor for DOE at the INEL facility located near Idaho Falls, Idaho. The EG&G Idaho ERP is responsible for restoration of various waste disposal sites within INEL's boundaries.
 This contract with EG&G is the fifth major award in the last few months to Weston's Analytics Division to provide analytical support services to DOE programs. Earlier awards include three contracts with Westinghouse Savannah River Company in Aiken, S.C., worth a combined potential of $10.2 million over three years, a one-year contract extension with Westinghouse Hanford Company valued at $2 million and a one-year basic ordering agreement with Martin Marietta at Oak Ridge, Tenn.
 "These awards demonstrate a recognition of the strong quality assurance program in place in Weston's laboratories and the capability of our laboratories to provide the analytical services required to support DOE's Environmental Restoration Program," said Vice President Earl M. Hansen, Ph.D., manager of the Analytics Division.
 "These contracts represent another step in improving our marketplace position in the rapidly expanding DOE environmental restoration program for all of Weston's technologies," said Weston President and CEO William J. Marrazzo.
 Headquartered in West Chester, Weston is a full-service environmental engineering, design and consulting firm providing nationwide analytical laboratory services, consulting and engineering, remediation, facility construction and operations, technical information management and major program management services.
 Weston's clients include many Fortune 500 companies and most major cities in the country. The company is a principal provider of services to the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Energy. The company operates a network of four analytical laboratories and 45 offices, including Los Angeles, Houston, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, New York and Washington.
