 WESTINGHOUSE NAMES GREGORY VERESCHAGIN VICE PRESIDENT,
 CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT
 PITTSBURGH, March 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Gregory L. Vereschagin, 41, has been elected a vice president of Westinghouse Electric Corporation (NYSE :WX), and he will head the corporate development function at Westinghouse, Chairman Paul E. Lego announced today.
 "We are extremely pleased to welcome Mr. Vereschagin to Westinghouse," Lego said. "He brings exceptional experience in business planning and finance as well as outstanding academic credentials to his new position at Westinghouse."
 Vereschagin will report to Warren H. Hollinshead, executive vice president, Finance. Vereschagin had been senior vice president of the investment banking department at Kidder, Peabody & Co., in New York since 1989. He joined the General Electric Company in 1984 and was manager, corporate business development and planning, until being named president, GE Japan in 1986.
 He received an electrical engineering and computer science degree from the University of California at Berkeley in 1973. He held a series of engineering positions at International Business Machines Corporation until 1979, when he entered Harvard Graduate School of Business. He graduated with an MBA degree in 1981.
 Vereschagin joined the Boston Consulting Group in 1981, where he was a consultant and case team leader until joining GE in 1984. A native of northern California, he is married and has three children.
