WESTINGHOUSE NAMES FREDERICK HILL CORPORATE RELATIONS DIRECTOR

 PITTSBURGH, Feb. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Frederick Wells Hill has been named director of corporate relations for Westinghouse Electric Corporation (NYSE: WX), it was announced today by Gary M. Clark, president and acting chief executive officer.
 Hill, 43, who has served as executive director of federal, state and local government affairs for Westinghouse in Washington since 1990, succeeds Eileen P. Massaro, 41, vice president, corporate relations, who resigned to pursue other interests.
 In his new position, he will be responsible for the corporation's external and internal communications, including public relations, employee communications, executive communications, shareholder communications and corporate advertising, as well as for the Westinghouse Foundation.
 Hill, a native of Pittsburgh, joined Westinghouse in 1980 as an attorney in the law department. He later served as director of state and local government relations for Westinghouse in Pennsylvania from 1984 until moving to Washington.
 Before joining Westinghouse, Hill served as a Pennsylvania state trooper and engaged in private law practice.
 He is a member of the Administrative Conference of the United States and of the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
 He earned a bachelor's degree in the administration of justice and a law degree, both from the University of Pittsburgh, where he also served for 11 years as an adjunct professor.
 Hill is married to Lynn Fisher Hill, who also is an attorney. They have four children.
