WESTERN WOMEN EXPERIENCE COUNTERPARTS' LIFESTYLES ON THREE CONTINENTS IN NEW CROSS CULTURAL ADVENTURE TRAVEL

WESTERN WOMEN EXPERIENCE COUNTERPARTS' LIFESTYLES ON THREE
CONTINENTS IN NEW CROSS CULTURAL ADVENTURE TRAVEL
NEW YORK, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Imagine walking with the rooster's crow to have breakfast with a Buddhist family...
...sipping hot milk with a Maasai woman in her dung hut while discussing village life before you set out to milk the cows, make yogurt, or bead a skirt...
...or hike to remote Andean hamlets, where Quechuan women weave multicolored fabrics to be sold in La Paz.
These extraordinary experiences await the women with a lust for adventure and exotic travel in the new Women to Women: Cross-Cultural Adventures introduced through Overseas Adventure Travel.
"These two-week trips give women an opportunity to meet, live and learn about the lives of women in the most untouched regions on earth," said co-director Carole Angermeir, an anthropologist who has devoted much of her life to developing countries.
Offered through Overseas Adventure Travel, the country's best-known adventure travel company, each trip is planned to the last detail -- with carefully paced itineraries, comfortable accommodations, and wonderful food. Each trip allows for spontaneous interaction. Exceptional guides and interpreters enable participants to explore the concerns and values shaping the lives of these women. This unique exchange includes village home-stays (option of hotels or luxury camps) as well as trekking, safaris, and visits to temples and monasteries.
Traveling with a group of women allows for different levels of communication in a safe environment, with a special kind of bonding, pointed out Angermeir. "Maybe we women speak shorthand with each other, maybe defenses are lessened."
Angermeir's partner, Judi Wineland, founder and president of Overseas Adventure Travel, has 15 years experience in the adventure travel business. She said, the women participating will be some of the most interesting, dynamic, and successful. Many are high-ranking business executives. Some are looking to make their success more meaningful, others may be at a turning point and looking to make a change, perhaps shake up their lives a little. All are in for an enriching experience that may change their lives forever.
