WESTERN WASTE NAMES DILIBERO AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

 LOS ANGELES, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Ramsey G. DiLibero has been named chief operating officer of Western Waste Industries (NYSE: WW), it was announced today by Kosti Shirvanian, chairman.
 "Ramsey will be responsible for all of our operations," Shirvanian stated. "I am very pleased that he has joined our company. Ramsey's proven operational abilities and bottom-line focus will be very helpful."
 DiLibero brings more than 20 years of experience in the waste management industry having served in various senior executive positions. He was previously chief operating officer of CECOS International Inc. and chief executive officer of Browning-Ferris International, both subsidiaries of Browning-Ferris Industries. DiLibero also served as chief operating officer of Waste Resources Corp. and SCA Services Inc.
 "Western Waste offers so much potential," said DiLibero. "I am excited by the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead."
 DiLibero has been a director of Western Waste since August 1993. He is also a member of the board of directors of Unitas National Bank in Chambersburg, Pa.
 Western Waste Industries is an integrated solid waste service company providing collection, recycling, composting and disposal for commercial, industrial and residential customers. The company has operations in California, Texas, Florida, Arkansas, Louisiana and Colorado.
