WESTERN WASTE CENTRALIZES CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS

LOS ANGELES, March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Western Waste Industries (NYSE: WW) announced today it has centralized its corporate headquarters from two South Bay area locations to a single 60,000-square-foot facility in nearby Torrance.
The move brings Western Waste's accounting, information systems and personnel operations, which were based in Carson, to under one roof with the other corporate offices, formerly located in Gardena.
"While we wanted to centralize Western Waste's corporate offices for greater efficiency, we also wanted to remain close to our 37-year-old roots, beginning with the company's first municipal contract in Inglewood," said Kosti Shirvanian, company president and chief executive officer.
Western Waste's new headquarters, effective Feb. 12, is a three- building business park named Western Torrance Plaza (formerly Torrance Plaza). New address: 21061 S. Western Ave., Torrance, CA 90501. The new phone number is 310-328-0900; fax is 310-212-7092.
