 DENVER, Oct. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Bill M. Sanderson, President and Chief Operating Officer of Western Gas Resources Inc. (NYSE: WGR) today announced the appointment of three new vice presidents to the company and new job responsibilities for two incumbent vice presidents.
 William J. Krysiak has been promoted to Vice President - Controller, and will assume the duties of Lonnie R. Brock, who resigned as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Krysiak, formerly Corporate Controller, will have responsibility for Western's corporate finance and financial planning functions. He joined Western in 1985 and during that time, has held various positions in the finance, tax and accounting areas. Krysiak earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Colorado State University and is a Certified Public Accountant.
 Jeffery E. Jones was promoted to Vice President of Production effective Oct. 1, 1993. Jones joined Western as Production Manager in 1989. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Colorado College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado.
 John F. Chandler was promoted to Vice President, Rocky Mountain Region, effective Oct. 1, 1993. Chandler joined Western in 1984 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, most recently as Manager of Business Development. In his new position, he is responsible for Western's engineering, operations and business development activities in the Rocky Mountain region. Chandler is a graduate of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
 Also effective Oct. 1, 1993, Dale Burford and Gary Davis assumed the newly created positions of Vice President, Mid-Continent Region and Vice President, Southern Region, respectively. Burford, formerly Vice President of Operations, is responsible for Western's engineering, operations and business development activities in Oklahoma and Louisiana. Davis, formerly Vice President of Engineering, will assume similar responsibilities in Texas.
 The company initiated the regional management team approach to remain responsive to its customers' needs. Each business segment of engineering, operations and business development will report to one regional vice president to improve the effectiveness of the regions and maximize future growth opportunities.

 Western owns and operates natural gas gathering and processing facilities and markets and transports natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs).
