WELLS FARGO ISSUES 'WANTED' POSTER IN SAN FRANCISCO:
OFFERS $2,500 REWARD IN ATM CRIME
SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Wells Fargo Bank is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of an ATM robber in San Francisco.
The bank has teamed up with the San Francisco Police Department to distribute a "wanted" poster of the suspect throughout the city. The poster shows a picture of the suspect, who was filmed by the bank's ATM camera as the robbery was in action.
The suspect is a black male, 5'9" tall, 160 pounds, with mustache and beard.
This is the third reward poster Wells Fargo has issued since September as part of a new program to reduce bank-related crimes. The bank has worked with the Berkeley and El Cerrito police departments on ATM and customer impersonation crimes.
According to the bank, the program has been successful so far. In the El Cerrito case, the posters generated more than a dozen leads, and a suspect was arrested in Alameda on Friday, Nov. 15.
Those with information should call Inspector Michael Maloney of the San Francisco Police Department at 415-553-1709.
