WEIRTON, W.Va., Oct. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Weirton Steel Corporation (NYSE: WS) today announced that a special stockholders meeting to approve a proposed increase in authorized common stock has been rescheduled for Nov. 11, 1993.
The record date for determining stockholders entitled to vote at the meeting is Sept. 15, 1993.
The company's board of directors approved a proposal to increase the number of authorized shares of common stock by 60 million shares. If approved, 30 million shares will only be used for bonafide public offerings and 30 million shares will be used in connection with employee plans.
