WEIL, GOTSHAL & MANGES NAMES NINE NEW PARTNERS; TWO OF COUNSEL

 NEW YORK, Dec. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Weil, Gotshal & Manges, the nation's fifth largest law firm, named nine new partners and two of counsel to the firm, effective Jan. 1, 1994.
 Five of the new partners are based in the firm's New York headquarters: Paul T. Cohn and Daniel J. Mette who concentrate in structured finance; David S. Lefkowitz who practices corporate law; Bruce S. Meyer, a litigator; and Miranda S. Schiller, who concentrates in business and securities litigation.
 Two of the new partners are located in the firm's Miami office: Richard A. Morrison, who concentrates in real estate law; and Morris D. Weiss, whose practice is concentrated in business reorganization.
 Mary R. McNabb, a corporate attorney in the Dallas office, has also been named partner, as has Joseph C. Tortorici, a corporate attorney who heads the firm's office in Prague, Czech Republic.
 The firm also named two new counsel. David A. Bryson is a corporate attorney in the firm's Dallas office, and Peter M. Gillon concentrates in environmental law in the Washington, D.C. office.
