 WEIGHT WATCHERS FEEDS THE HUNGRY
FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Aug. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Florine Mark, of

Weight Watchers, announced today that more than 8,000 pounds of food was collected Friday evening during a sunset picnic at the Detroit Zoo benefiting Dieters Feed the Hungry, a non-profit organization which distributes food donations to local food banks. The food was distributed throughout metropolitan Detroit by the Hunger Action Coalition. This was the largest single collection of food the Hunger Action Coalition has received in several years.
"We at Weight Watchers are absolutely thrilled with our success," said Mark. "We believe it's most appropriate that those of us who can choose what we eat help those who can't."
