WEBBER NAMED SR. VICE PRESIDENT OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT WITH BANK ONE, COLUMBUS

 COLUMBUS, Ohio, May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- David B. Webber has been promoted to senior vice president of the newly created Community Development Division of Bank One, Columbus, NA, it was announced by Michael J. McMennamin, chairman, and Robert G. Davis, president, of Bank One, Columbus.
 As head of Bank One's Community Development Division, Webber will serve as a liaison between the community and the bank. "We want to be assured that we are offering products and services our community really needs, especially among the low to moderate income segment of the community," Webber explained. In the long run, we want to create a shared sense of ownership and responsibility between community groups and the bank, from community leaders to the grass roots level of the region Bank One serves, he added.
 Webber had been vice president of the Metropolitan Lending Division with Bank One, Columbus. He started his Bank One career in 1978 with The Sterling State Bank in Mount Sterling, Ohio, which became affiliated with Banc One in 1979. He was promoted to assistant vice president in the Regional Lending Division of Bank One, Columbus, in 1983 and was named vice president and division manager of the Metropolitan Lending Division, Corporate Banking, in 1989. Prior to joining Bank One, he was a Financial Institutions Examiner for the State of Ohio, Department of Commerce, Division of Banks. Webber holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking, Rutgers University.
 Webber, who is married with one daughter, lives in Upper Arlington, Ohio. He is a member of the Community Service Board of The Capital Area Humane Society, serves on the board of trustees of The Columbus Marathon and of The Touchdown Club of Columbus. Webber also serves with the Young Leadership of the United Way of Franklin County.
