GATESHEAD Leam Rangers, hit for six in the midweek programme, will need to tighten up at the back if they are to profit against Cleator Moor Celtic at Hill Top this afternoon.

The Tynesiders have already conceded 12 goals and only winless Wolviston and Prudhoe Town have leaked more.

A boost to their chances is the return of Stephen Edwards and Anthony Brewis.

The match of the day could well be between Jarrow and Sunderland West End at Perth Green.

The sides have almost identical records, each having won three times, and West End just shade their hosts in the table because they have scored one goal more.

Jarrow will give debuts to Robbie Coleman and Nicholas Quinn but are without Kris Allen, Josh Allen and the Pressling brothers Grant and Jason.

Annfield Plain meet Horden CW at Derwent Park.

The Plain will want to immediately recover from the six-goal blast they suffered at Windscale on Wednesday, while the Colliers aim to continue the early-season momentum they have built up.

Prudhoe Town have taken just one point from a possible 12 and they could again find the going tough at home to Boldon CA.

The West Tynesiders are hopeful of turning out a near full-strength team. It's a case of one in, one out for Boldon.

Manager Paul Mossa welcomes the inclusion of leading scorer Adam Bell but Johnny Gage is unavailable.
