JAMES MILNER says Liverpool need to be more "boring" after they blew a two-goal lead at Arsenal.

Liverpool collapsed from 2-0 up and conceded three goals in five crazy, second-half minutes, before Roberto Firmino rescued a point to keep Jurgen Klopp's side fourth in the table. And level-headed Milner (left), the inspiration behind a Twitter parody account called 'Boring James Milner', said: "When you are in a position like that, at this level, you've got to see the game out. We have got to become more boring.

"There are times in the game when you've got to tighten up and not make those mistakes for five minutes. All the goals were our fault, really, and that's something we have to learn from."

Klopp celebrated Firmino's leveller by throwing a bottle to the ground, sparking a furious reaction from nearby Arsenal fans.

The Reds boss could be in hot water for his reaction a year after Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was handed a touchline ban for kicking a water bottle against West Ham.

Klopp said: "I was happy and it was a kind of aggressive happy. I have made my apology but, if the people would all apologise for what they said to me, it would take a little bit longer than my apology."
