WE LOVE TV; PICK THE OF DAY Record makers.

Byline: TODAY'S TV BY MAEVE QUIGLEY

We love dRAmA HOMELAND RTE Two, 9pm TONIGHT'S episode of Homeland is set to be a jaw-dropper with one major character heading to the grave.

Entitled The Motherf****r With A Turban, it is one of the most dramatic episodes yet, with Abu Nazir coming dangerously close to killing Carrie (Claire Danes) before the tables are turned and she is rescued by FBI field agents also on the hunt for him.

Spoiler alert - Carrie goes to find Nazir but loses him. After several possibilities are explored as to his whereabouts, or how he slipped out, Carrie becomes convinced that he's hiding in the tunnels.

Sure enough, when she leads a small team down the tunnels to hunt him, they discover his little hideaway, where he had been sleeping. Unfortunately, just as they find their evidence, Nazir appears and kills the agent who's with Carrie, before going after her as well.

There are further developments in the Brody - Jessica - Carrie relations as well but we won't spoil everything for you.

Needless to say, next week's season closer, entitled The Choice is bound to be un-missable.

INSIDE GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS UTV, 8pm YEAR after year, generation after generation, we continue to be fascinated by world records.

The Guinness Book of World Records has created legendary status for itself by collating them, with sales that are beaten only by the Bible and the Koran.

Amazingly, considering its 57-year history, this show is the first time that the cameras have been allowed behind the scenes to witness the process of new records being verified.

They range from the purely biological and almost banal (such as the world's tallest man at a towering 8ft 3in) to stories of bizarre and gratuitous human achievement (the man from Nepal who jumps through an un-stringed tennis racket 90 times in just a minute).

"They are the most amazing stories in the world, from the most amazing people," says editor-in-chief Craig Glenday.

Some of them really push the boundaries of human achievement and endurance to new levels. Look at men such as Alain Robert (the French Spider-man) or the world's oldest wing-walker, aged 92.

"Everyone wants to be different," declares adjudicator Marco Frigatti. "They want to leave a mark." Well, they certainly do that.

Others featured over the course of two shows include the world's tallest dog (7ft 4in Great Dane Zeus), the holder of the record for the most one-armed push-ups in an hour (Paddy Doyle, 1,868) and the woman with the most piercings (Elaine Davidson, of Brazil, on 8,000).

Perhaps the best is Ashrita Furman who has the record for the most records (148 besides that one), including the fastest mile on a space-hopper along the Great Wall of China. Bizarre.

We love CHAT EVER wondered what happened to EastEnders' Nasty Nick Cotton, John Altman? No, us neither. But he has washed up in Montrose chatting to Katherine Lynch about why women always seem to love a bad boy.

Big Brother whinger Nikki Grahame is also on the show chatting about auditioning for a famous Aussie soap and how's she's made a career out of temper tantrums.

The professional moaner, 30, was last seen on these shores when she appeared on TV3's Celebrity Salon.

Troubled Nikki was taken to hospital for severe anorexia when she was just eight and has struggled with eating disorders.

Something she has told about in two autobiographies called Dying To Be Thin - The True Story Of My Lifelong Battle Against Anorexia released in 2009 and Fragile - The True Story Of My Lifelong Battle With Anorexia released this year.

Before Grahame rose to fame on Big Brother, she had appeared as an extra on EastEnders and had a role on Sky One's Dream Team.

In August 2006, It was reported by The News Of The World that Grahame had previously been employed as a high-class escort or 'vice girl'. Its alleged that one of her clients was the Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty.

Despite being paid [euro]500, she denies having sexual intercourse with him, claiming as soon as she heard she was to have sex with him she quit immediately, and that he was too altered by drugs to perform anyway.

We love SoApS EMMERDALE UTV1, 7pm JACOB wipes the smile off Priya's face with news that his mum Alicia's parole could mean she's home by Christmas.

Alicia married David in a sham wedding before she got banged up, a fact which Priya has been trying to ignore. And just when Katie's predicament couldn't get any worse, she finds out Declan's nephew Robbie will be there to welcome her home when she eventually gets out of hospital.

EASTENDERS RTE ONE, 7.30pm ALFIE'S Christmas market is a cracker, and the Christmas lights switch on tonight is truly spectacular.

But Alfie knows Kat is lying to him and when he confides in Michael tonight he finds out his friend has been keeping a pretty big secret too.
