MOONMAN Buzz Aldrin is getting ready to show off a new look after a facelift at a California clinic.

Aldrin, 77, was caught wearing a surgical cap and cotton wool when he emerged from the clinic in Los Angeles with his third wife Lois.

Aldrin was second man on the moon after Apollo XI colleague Neil Armstrong in July 1969.

Aldrin, a fighter pilot veteran of the Korean War, has worked in aeronautical engineering since his pioneering days as an astronaut.

Now he's trying to deal with the tricky problem of time - at least the ageing process part of it.
