WAWEL SAVINGS BANK/COMMAND CREDIT SIGN AGREEMENT TO ISSUE CREDIT CARDS

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y., Jan. 5 /PRNewswire/ -- Command Credit Corp. (NASDAQ: CDMD), Rockville Centre and Wawel Savings Bank SLA, Wallington, N.J., announced today that they have signed an agreement to issue both unsecured and secured credit cards focusing primarily on secured cards.
Wawel Savings Bank currently services portions of Bergen and Passaic counties in New Jersey and is seeking to expand its product offerings. The bank believes that there is a great opportunity in offering both unsecured and secured cards to their primary customer base consisting of a large Polish population.
Robert Ranzinger, managing director of Wawel Savings Bank stated, "I am delighted to announce that Wawel Savings Bank has taken a major step to service its customer base by providing a sorely needed credit card product to its primarily Polish customers, many of whom are recent immigrants. Our customers want to become part of the U.S.A. mainstream by acquiring a credit rating through the use of a credit card. Starting with a secured card will assist these individuals in establishing credit. Upon qualification, credit customers can be issued an unsecured card with all the benefits associated with normal card offerings."
William G. Lucas, chairman and chief executive officer of Command Credit stated that, "The Polish community as well as many other ethnic markets have been sorely neglected by banks. Working with Wawel Savings Bank provides Command with an opportunity to service this growing need and help ethnic groups by providing them with the ability to establish credit. Command will provide marketing as well as back-office services for the bank. The marketing and services will be customized to the specific bank demands."
Lucas further stated that "Command is an international financial services company, specializing in secured bank credit cards. Our company has a wealth of knowledge and the capabilities to service unsecured cards as well. The signing of Wawel Savings Bank is the third consecutive agreement to be signed within the last 2 months. Implementation of these contracts and merging them with the existing 14 affinity groups Command has under contract is expected to have a significant positive impact for the participating institutions as well as Command."
