 WASHINGTON MUTUAL EXPECTS THOUSANDS OF PARTICIPANTS
 AT SATURDAY'S PLEDGE RUN TO BENEFIT BELLEVUE'S CHILDREN
 WHAT: Between 1,000 and 3,000 runners and walkers are
 expected to participate in the first annual
 SUCCESS Run for Our Kids sponsored by Washington
 Mutual. More than 200 Washington Mutual employees
 are running, walking or volunteering at the event.
 The pledge run/walk benefits SUCCESS, a model program
 that provides one-on-one educational and emotional
 support to Bellevue-area children who need extra help
 to succeed. SUCCESS works with Washington Mutual's
 One-to-One Tutoring Program, which has referred
 about 1,800 volunteer tutors this year to Northwest
 schools and nonprofit groups.
 WHO: Kerry Killinger, Washington Mutual's chairman and
 chief executive officer, Bellevue Mayor Cary Bozeman
 and Don O'Neil, superintendent of Bellevue Public
 Schools will co-chair the event.
 WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 17
 Wheelchair race begins at 8:10 a.m.
 8K run at 8:15 a.m.
 4K walk at 8:30 a.m.
 WHERE: Bellevue Downtown Park
 100th Avenue N.E. and N.E. Fifth Street
 PARKING:
 Free parking is available at Washington Mutual's
 Bellevue financial centers, at 123 Bellevue Way N.E.
 and 10525 N.E. Sixth St., and Puget Power's parking
 lot, at 10608 N.E. Fourth St.
