WARNER NOMINATED TO ANHEUSER-BUSCH COMPANIES BOARD
ST. LOUIS, March 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Douglas A. Warner III, president

and director of J.P. Morgan & Co. Incorporated, has been nominated to the board of Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., the company announced today.
"Mr. Warner's broad business knowledge and his familiarity with the international arena are both tremendous assets," August A. Busch III, chairman of the board and president of Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., said. "We're extremely pleased that he has agreed to be nominated."
Warner, 45, began his career at Morgan after graduating from Yale University in 1968. He held positions of increasing responsibility in a variety of banking areas before being named assistant general manager and head of banking in London in 1983. He became general manager of the London office and Morgan's senior officer in the United Kingdom in 1986.
In 1987, Warner returned to New York to take charge of Corporate Finance in the Americas and, later in that same year, of the worldwide Corporate Finance group. He was named president and director of the company in 1990, when he also joined Morgan's Corporate Office, the company's senior policy and planning group.
Warner is a governor of the Foreign Policy Association, a member of the Association of Reserve City Bankers, a trustee of the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and a trustee of the Pierpont Morgan Library.
Warner's nomination will be voted on at the annual meeting of shareholders of Anheuser-Busch Companies, Inc., on April 22, 1992, in Orlando, Fla.
Fred L. Kuhlmann's term on the board expires in April, and he will not stand for re-election. Kuhlmann, 75, a board member since 1974, will remain available to the company as an advisory member of the board. He will also retain his position as vice chairman of the board of the St. Louis Cardinals, the company's major league baseball subsidiary.
