WARNER BROS. WORLDWIDE RETAIL ANNOUNCES EXECUTIVE APPOINTMENTS; THREE NAMED TO SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT POSTS

 BURBANK, Calif., Jan. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Warner Bros. Worldwide Retail has named Dennis Adomaitis, Barry Gilbert and Linda Gillen Postell to senior vice presidents, it was announced today by Peter Starrett, president, Warner Bros. Worldwide Retail. All three positions are newly created.
 In his new post as senior vice president, worldwide operations, Adomaitis will continue to oversee merchandise planning and distribution, administration, finance and systems. He will add real estate and store planning as part of his new responsibilities. Previously, he was vice president of operations. Prior to Warner Bros., Adomaitis' experience included various retail and financial management positions at the Limited Inc. from 1982 to 1987, MGA/Guess? Inc. and Dorcon Industries in Cleveland. He received his B.B.A., accounting at Cleveland State University and his master of business administration at Baldwin-Wallace College in 1979. Adomaitis received his C.P.A. in 1980.
 Gilbert, who previously was vice president of stores since 1990, will continue to oversee day-to-day operations of the Warner Bros. Studio Stores as senior vice president. Previously, he spent two years as executive vice president of Rainbow Records, a 37-store chain based in Northern California from 1988 to 1990 and as associate vice president of FHP Inc., a 22-unit eyewear and drug store chain. Prior to that, he was divisional merchandise manager for the Federated and May Department Stores from 1978 to 1986. Gilbert attended the University of California at Berkeley, where he received his bachelor of arts and master of business administration.
 Postell has been named senior vice president and general merchandise manager. Postell most recently served as vice president merchandising. In her new position, she will be responsible for all product development and design for the Warner Bros. Studio Stores and catalog. Postell joined Warner Bros. in October of 1990. Prior to that, she had been senior vice president, design studio for Ann Taylor Inc. in New York. Postell began her retail career at Macy's former Bamberger division, where she held various merchandising positions from 1970 to 1988.
