 WARNER BROS. 'PASSENGER 57' SOARS TO TOP OF BOX OFFICE
 WITH $10.5 MILLION OPENING WEEKEND
 BURBANK, Calif., Nov. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Warner Bros.' airborne action-thriller, "Passenger 57," starring Wesley Snipes, Bruce Payne and Tom Sizemore, devastated its competition over the weekend, grossing $10,513,925 in its three-day opening at the top of the box- office roster, it was announced today by D. Barry Reardon, Warner Bros. president of domestic theatrical distribution.
 The film performed muscularly in venues across the country, with outstanding grosses being posted in such theaters as the Bay Plaza in the Bronx, with $66,413; the Criterion in New York City, with $60,254; the Cineplex Odeon in Universal City, Calif., with $58,424; the Lakewood Center in Lakewood, N.J., with $47,409; the Meadows in Secaucus, N.J., with $48,993; the Century in San Jose, Calif., with $39,541; and the Sunrise in Valley Stream, N.J., with $57,663.
 "We've been aware of Wesley's outstanding box-office presence since he starred in 'New Jack City' for us," stated Reardon. "He's a terrifically talented performer with a lot of charisma, whose broad appeal was well-utilized in this action-oriented picture. We're very happy with the one-two punch that 'Passenger 57' and 'Under Siege' are executing at theaters right now."
 Warner Bros. presents a Lee Rich Production of a Kevin Hooks Film: Wesley Snipes in "Passenger 57," starring Bruce Payne and Tom Sizemore. The producers are Lee Rich, Dan Paulson and Dylan Sellers. Kevin Hooks directs the film, which has a screenplay by David Loughery and Dan Gordon, based on a story by Stewart Raffill and Dan Gordon. The executive producer is Jonathan Sheinberg; the co- producer is Robert J. Anderson; and the music is by Stanley Clarke. Distributed by Warner Bros., a Time Warner Entertainment Company.
