WARD'S REPORTS ESTIMATED PRODUCTION

 DETROIT, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. vehicle producers will assemble an estimated 131,221 cars and trucks this week, Ward's Automotive Reports announced today.
 This week's estimated production is 5.8 percent above the actual 123,976 vehicles built last week, and 14.9 percent ahead of same-week 1992's 114,162, Ward's said.
 Additionally, 27 U.S. vehicle assembly plants are closed this week for summer vacation or model changeover -- including all General Motors Corp. facilities.
 Calendar-year 1993 U.S. car and truck output through the end of this week numbered an estimated 6,262,135 units, 13.0 percent ahead of like- 1992, Wards said.
 Of the cars and trucks slated for production this week in the United States, Ford Motor Co. accounted for 56.1 percent; Chrysler Corp., 13.2 percent; Nissan Motor Mfg. Corp., 6.0 percent; Honda of America Mfg. Inc., 6.0 percent; New United Motor Mfg. Inc., 5.1 percent; Toyota Motor Mfg. USA Inc., 3.6 percent; AutoAlliance International Inc., 3.2 percent; Diamond-Star Motors Corp., 2.1 percent; Subaru-Isuzu Automotive Inc., 1.8 percent; Navistar International Transportation Corp., 1.2 percent; GM, 0.0 percent; and other truck manufacturers, 1.7 percent.
