 WARD'S REPORTS ESTIMATED PRODUCTION
 DETROIT, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- Ward's Automotive Reports said


today that U.S. car and truck assemblers will produce an estimated 189,166 vehicles this week.
 This week's scheduled output is 15.7 percent above the 163,470 cars and trucks built last week, and also well above same-week 1991's count, Ward's said.
 Only four regularly active Big Three and transplant assembly facilities were closed this week for inventory control, added Ward's.
 Calendar-year 1992 U.S. production through the end of this week stands at an estimated 5,913,507, 11.2 percent above like-1991's 5,317,363, Ward's said.
 Of the cars slated for production this week in the United States, General Motors accounted for 38.7 percent; Ford Motor Co., 23.4 percent; Chrysler Corp., 10.9 percent; Honda of America Mfg. Inc., 8.2 percent; Mazda Motor Mfg. (USA) Corp., 8.1 percent; Toyota Motor Mfg. USA Inc., 4.4 percent; Nissan Motor Mfg. Corp., 3.2 percent; Diamond-Star Motors Corp., 2.0 percent; and Subaru-Isuzu Automotive Inc., 1.1 percent.
