 WARD'S REPORTS ESTIMATED PRODUCTION
 DETROIT, March 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Ward's Automotive Reports


announced today that U.S. car and truck makers will produce an estimated 195,029 vehicles this week.
 This week's estimated output is 0.9 percent higher than last week's actual tally of 193,219, and 37.0 percent above same-week 1991, Ward's said.
 Calendar-year 1992 output, through the end of this week, is estimated at 1,811,976 cars and trucks, 10.5 percent above same-period 1991, reported Ward's.
 Additionally, Ward's said five regularly active U.S. light-vehicle plants are down this week. During the same week in 1991, 13 plants were shut down.
 Of the cars produced this week in the United States, General Motors Corp.'s share is 41.5 percent; Ford Motor Co., 22.5 percent; Chrysler Corp., 12.1 percent; Honda of America Mfg. Inc., 8.9 percent; Toyota Motor Mfg. USA Inc., 4.2 percent; New United Motor Mfg. Inc., 3.8 percent; Diamond-Star Motors Corp., 3.0 percent; Nissan Motor Mfg. Corp., 2.3 percent; Subaru-Isuzu Automotive Inc., 1.1 percent; and Mazda Motor Mfg. (USA) Corp., 0.6 percent.
