 WARD'S REPORTS ESTIMATED PRODUCTION
 DETROIT, Feb. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- U.S. car and truck makers will build


an estimated 178,990 vehicles this week, 5.6 percent below last week's actual output of 189,507, Ward's Automotive Reports said today.
 This is the first week in 1992 that weekly production has not exceeded the previous week's build. However, this week's tally is 23.3 percent above same-week 1991's, bringing estimated year-to-date output for the first month and one week of 1992 to 861,690, edging 0.9 percent above 1991's same-date total, Ward's said.
 Ten regularly active U.S. light-vehicle plants are down this week, compared to eight last week. Only three of those are due back next week, reported Ward's.
 Of the cars produced this week in the United States, General Motors Corp.'s share is 48.9 percent; Ford Motor Co., 16.6 percent; Honda of America Mfg. Inc., 9.2 percent; Chrysler Corp., 8.2 percent; Toyota Motor Mfg. USA Inc., 4.4 percent; New United Motor Mfg. Inc., 3.9 percent; Diamond-Star Motors Corp., 3.2 percent; Nissan Motor Mfg. Corp., 2.6 percent; Mazda Motor Mfg. (USA) Corp., 1.9 percent; and Subaru-Isuzu Automotive Inc., 1.1 percent.
