WANT TO BUILD WORLDWIDE EXPORT SALES?
 CALIFORNIA COMPANY OFFERS HELP
CONCORD, Calif., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- For U.S. manufacturers of computer hardware and software who would like to get into the export game but don't know how or where to start, help is here.
Atico, a leading international distributor of computer products since 1985, announced today its Worldwide Product Introduction Service (WPIS), aimed at helping other computer product companies in all facets of export sales development.
Atico has a network of 61,500 distributors, VARs/VADs, consultants and retailers in 127 foreign countries. To promote export sales for its U.S.-based clients, WPIS will provide foreign contacts, and use either its client's existing product literature or new sales material that Atico will create for the client.
Charles Chung of Atico noted that many executives in U.S. computer companies are so geared toward domestic sales that they are unaware of the full potential of export sales, such as the 15 percent income tax exemption, advance payment, import duty refund and income tax deferral up to $10 million.
"Although the benefits are obvious," said Chung, "most companies lack an efficient and cost-effective method of introducing their products to the global market."
Atico's Worldwide Product Introduction Service will assemble all aspects of international mailing, including stuffing, sealing, sorting, franking and postage. The client specifies which countries and markets are to be targeted. Once Atico initiates its service, product inquiries from foreign resellers should begin to arrive within two weeks, building bases for an international reseller network, Chung predicted.
To help start up the small- and medium-sized companies that are new to the export scene and lack immediate resources for international expansion, Atico also provides complete export sales management service. This service is provided in addition to WPIS. Like a domestic distributor, Atico processes and facilitates all international inquiries and orders. Atico's staff also provide reseller qualifying, export licensing, export shipping, export documentation and export financing.
