WALT DISNEY WORLD NAMES SPORTS MARKETING DIRECTOR

 LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla., July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- The former director of marketing for soccer, hockey and football teams around the country, Annette "Tinsy" Labrie, is joining Walt Disney World Resort as Sports Marketing director.
 Labrie, the former marketing director for the Pittsburgh Spirit of the Indoor Soccer League, the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team, and the Baltimore Stars of the U.S. Football League, comes to Disney with a wide range of experience in the field of sports and events marketing, and TV production.
 Currently, Labrie is director of marketing and sales for the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
 In announcing Labrie's appointment to the new Disney position, Tom Elrod, president of Walt Disney Marketing and Entertainment, said, "Our objective is to establish the Walt Disney World Resort as a global- renowned sports venue. We're sure Tinsy can add greatly to this goal as she brings a very strong, diverse sports marketing background with her."
 Labrie will be responsible for the development, evaluation and execution of sports programs involving the Walt Disney World resort. She will develop relationships with professional sports leagues and players, amateur athletic organizations and all major media companies.
