WALES: Woman sacked for naked dance.

A YOUNG woman who performed a naked table-top dance in front of 150 people at the Royal Welsh Show has been sacked.

Scandal erupted at the event at Llanelwedd, near Builth Wells, when the shop worker allegedly threw her thong into a crowd of cattle exhibitors after performing a late-night strip-tease.

Witnesses said she was then hosed down with water used to wash cattle before the thong was returned to her on the end of a pitchfork used to muck out cattle lines.

The woman - who has not been named - has now been sacked by Llanelli firm Cig Calon Cymru's boss, Enzo Sauro.

He said: "She used to work for us in the shop. She has apologised and has lost her job. She was with us for two years."

Mr Sauro said he was "absolutely numb" at the prospect of the Welsh Black Cattle Society (WBCS), whose patron is Prince Charles, holding a special meeting in the light of the incident.

It could see him expelled from the society.

Past WBCS president Olwen Thomas said: "It's disgusting and this has nothing whatsoever to do with the Welsh Black Cattle Society.

"The society's chief executive and chairman have launched an inquiry.

"This sort of thing lowers the standards of the Royal Welsh and we will not put up with it."

Builder - turned - farmer Mr Sauro, one of the country's most prominent breeders of Welsh Black cattle, set up a company to process carcasses on the Cross Hands Industrial Estate, Carmarthen.

On July 26 he celebrated the abattoir landing a lucrative new contract to supply beef from 15-20 Welsh Black cattle each week for Mark & Spencer's 16 Welsh stores.

The impromptu party in the Welsh Black Cattle section got out of hand, reaching its strip-tease climax at around 10pm, when the young woman allegedly stripped.
