WALES: Top trio opens series of concerts.
The Bohemia Piano Trio will perform works by Haydn, Dvorak and Kenneth Leighton at the Powis Hall, University of Wales, Bangor on Thursday at 8pm.
An exciting season of concerts lies ahead with visits from the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic String Ensemble, BBC National Orchestra of Wales and the Allegri String Quartet.
Other highlights will include a performance by the Equivox Trio - an ensemble specialising in combining jazz, folk, contemporary and world music. Elisabeth Priday and Roger Nichols will be marking the centenary of the first performance of Ravel's Histoires Naturelles,
A Welsh language children's concert focusing on the much loved masterpiece Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Sans will be performed by Ensemble Cymru.
A set of concerts will celebrate music in Wales, with visits from folk singer Sian James and her band, tenor Gwyn Hughes Jones, pianist Annette Bryn Parri and one of Wales' foremost folk groups, Crasdant.
