WALES: Pervert molested retarded teen girl; Sick groper had long record of child sex crimes.
A PAEDOPHILE who indecently assaulted a retarded 19-year-old girl at a party was yesterday locked up indefinitely.
Pervert Graham Bundy, 56, was branded a danger to girls and vulnerable young woman by the judge who passed an indeterminate sentence.
This will mean that Bundy, of Dolwyddelan, will not leave prison until the Parole Board consider he is safe.
Judge John Rogers QC, sitting at Mold Crown Court, told him: "I have to deal with you for two sexual assaults carried out against a 19-year-old female who was vulnerable in that she has the mental age of a 12 to 14-year-old.
"I amquite satisfied that youwere awareof her vulnerability and that is why you chose her to assault.
"Since 1975, you have on six occasions appeared before courts for committing sexual offences involving children."
Bundy was ordered to register with the police as a sex offender for life, and he was disqualified from working with children.
The court heard how Bundy, since his release from prison, had ensured he did not come into contact with children but it was claimed that in drink he sexually assaulted a vulnerable young woman aged 19, who had the mental age of a child aged between 12 and 14, on two occasions.
The defendant admitted two charges of sexual assault.
Prosecuting barrister Caroline Harries said that the offences occurred at a party in August when Bundy sat next to her and was seen whispering in her ear.
An observer became suspicious and went over to them.
The defendant, who realised he had been seen, pulled his hand away, and it emerged that he had fondled her between the legs and on the breasts.
He was told to leave, initially refused, denied doing anything and took a swing at another guest, but missed.
The victimwas left shaking and crying, and told howBundy had said to her "do you want me to keep going or do youwant me to stop?' and called her names when she tried to ignore him.
The incident had left the victim nervous and unable to sleep.
Owen Edwards, defending, said it was clear Bundy had taken advantage of a vulnerable young woman.
"My client is full of remorse and would abide by any order the court would subject him to," Mr Edwards added.
